Ingredients Needed to Cook Banger Soup

  • 500g Assorted meat
  • 200g bush meat{if you can afford it}
  • medium-sized of stockfish
  • 1kg of palm nut{fresh}
  • Fresh Shrimps
  • knorr chicken cubes
  • Periwinkle
  • Medium-sized of Dried Fish
  • Half Tablespoon of Banga Spice
  • chill pepper
  • one big onion
  • medium-sized of crayfish
  • Oburunbebe stick
  • Add salt to taste

Instructions on How to Prepare Banger Soup

1. Wash your meat and place it in the pot, add Banga spice, oburunbebe stick, crayfish, and cook for 10 minutes. The Banga spice adds a rich aroma.

2. Extract the fruit from the palm nut. Add salt to taste and seasoning.

3. Add fresh fish and shrimps to the soup, add the leaf and leave to cook on medium heat for another 10-15 minutes, add stir.

4. Your Banger soup is ready to be served with any swallow of your choice.


1. Wash and boil the palm nut for 20 minutes{until soft].

2. Pass through the sieve to separate the fruits from the kernels.

3. Use a sieve to strain the extract into your cooked meat, Stir until it is well combined, and boil for about 20 minutes. Don’t cover the pan at this point cos it will boil over.

4. Add the crushed beletientien leaves, prawn, periwinkles, and three cubes of Knorr, pepper, and crayfish. Stir, cover, and allow to boil for 5 minutes.

5. Your delicious Banger soup is ready.
