Ghana Fire Service General Eligibility To Apply

1. The eligible applicant must Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.

2. Be with no criminal record and of good character.

3. Be not less than 18years and not more than 30years of age Officer Corps applicants by 1st January 2019.

4. Be not less than 18years and not more than 30years of age for Non-Tradesman applicants and 35 years for Driver/Mechanics by 1st January 2019.

5. Be physically and medically fit by Fire Service standards.

6. Be of a minimum height of 1.73metres (5ft8Inches) for males and 1.63metres (5ft4Inches) for females.

Ghana Fire Service Requirements For All Eligible Applicant

Drivers and Driver Mechanics.

In addition to satisfying requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility, applicants must
have the following; Ghana Fire Service Requirements.

1. SSCE/WASSCE ‘O’/’A’ Level GES Intermediate Level, caccidentNVTI Grades I & II Automobile Certificate or J.S.S Certificate.
with 10years driving experience.

2. Driver License D or F

3. Minimum of five accident-free driving experience.

Firefighters and Rescue Crew.

In addition to satisfying requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility, applicants must
have the following;

Five(5) Credits in SSCE/WASSCE, Including Core English and Core Mathematics or five(5); credits in Ghana
Education Service(GES) Intermediate Level Certificate; including English and Mathematics or ‘A’ Level /’o’
Level with credit in English and Mathematics.

IT TECHNICIANS.

In addition to satisfying requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility, applicants must
have the following;

A Professional Certificate in Software Development.Website Development & Maintenance.Database Administration
from an Accredited Institution.

Bandsmen.

In addition to satisfying requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility, applicants must
have the following: are there Ghana Fire Service requirements.

Regimental Band.

i. Should be able to play more than three(3); Instruments including Clarinets, Bassoons, Flutes, Alto and
Tenor Sax.

ii.Should be able to read the staff notation.
iii. Percussion: Should be good at every aspect of Percussion.

REGISTERED GENERAL NURSES(RGN).

In addition to satisfying requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility, applicants must
have the following;

i. Certificate or Diploma in Nursing from an Accredited Institution.

THE OFFICER CORPS.

In addition to satisfying requirements “i”, “ii”, “iii”, “iv” and “v” in general eligibility; applicants must
have the following:

a. Engineers.
A minimum of First Degree in Civil Engineering; Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering,
Electrical Engineering; Architectural Engineering, or Building Technology from an Accredited Tertiary
Institution.

b. Forensic Scientist.
A minimum of First Degree in Physics, Chemistry; counselling-Chemistry or Computer Science from an Accredited
Tertiary Institution.

c. Registered General Nurses (RGN).
1. minimum of First Degree in Nursing from an Accredited Tertiary Institution.

d. Counsellors.
A minimum of First Counselling from an Accredited Tertiary Institution.

e. For Accounts Officers.
A minimum of First Degree or Higher National Diploma(HND) in Accounting from an Accredited Tertiary
Institution.

f. Lawyers.

1. LLB/BL qualification from an Accredited Institution.
2. Applicants MUST Not more than 35 years of age.

g. Public Relations Officers.

1. A minimum of First Degree in Communication Studies, Public Relations, Journalism.or Marketing from and
Accredited Institution.
