McGill University Scholarships 2023 – We encourage all international students to apply for funding. The Scholarships and Student Aid Office is committed to ensuring that qualified students from any geographic region are financially supported in their goals to enter and complete academic programs at the University. The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at McGill provides comprehensive scholarships to academically talented young leaders from across Sub-Saharan Africa. We also encourage you to contact your country’s educational authorities as well as Global Affairs Canada to inquire about funding opportunities to study at McGill. Some opportunities available through international agencies.
McGill University Scholarships 2023 Work Study Program
The Work-Study Program offers students with financial need access to clerical, research, technical, library, or other jobs on campus or in some of the McGill-affiliated hospitals and organizations. The program not only helps students financially but can develop career-related skills and experience.
Eligibility For McGill University Scholarships 2023
Acceptance of the Work-Study program is based primarily on financial need.
To be considered for Work-Study, you must:
Have applied for and be receiving the maximum government aid for which you are eligible (for Indigenous students, Band Council funding is accepted).
Be registered full-time in a degree program.
Be in satisfactory academic standing.
Demonstrate financial need.
Part-time students are not eligible unless deemed full-time by government aid guidelines (e.g., students with a recognized disability, some students who are parents, etc.).
Special, Visiting, Qualifying, Non-thesis extension (less than 12 credits), Continuing Education, Diploma and Certificate students are not eligible.
How To Apply For McGill University Scholarships 2023
To apply all you need to do is to follow these guidelines right below.
To apply, log in to Minerva:
Select the Financial Aid/Awards tab.
Click on the Financial Aid Menu.
Apply for McGill Financial Aid.
Apply to Work-Study.
Update your financial aid profile.
Work Study does not guarantee employment as hiring decisions are made by participating employers.
When to apply For McGill University Scholarships 2023
Applications open July 1 for the upcoming academic year and are assessed on a rolling basis, except during peak periods when recommended submission dates apply.
If you apply by early August you will know whether or not you have been accepted by the beginning of the Fall term and will have access to more jobs.
You must reapply each year for Work Study participation.

You can check the results of your application on the accepted/refused list on or after the results posted by the dates above.

- refused: you can email the Work Study team if your circumstances have changed or if you have additional information that you would like us to consider.
